Aksho is built in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra by a two-person team — for the photographers and content creators who never had a proper business tool built for them in India.

The story

I'm Rajdatta Sakharam Sawant. Before Aksho, I ran the tech at a design and hospitality studio in Sindhudurg. Every photographer, videographer, and creator I met had the same setup: quotes in WhatsApp, expenses on a paper diary, payments tracked in a Notes app, deliverables in Google Drive. Every year end was a scramble to reconstruct the numbers for the CA.

The tools built abroad don't fit. StudioNinja and Iris Works assume a US-style workflow — dollar pricing, contract PDFs, Stripe billing, no concept of the Indian financial year that runs April to March. HoneyBook is $40+ a month, which for a photographer earning ₹2-4 lakh a year is unreasonable.

Aksho is what I would have wanted: one dashboard for the whole business, priced at what an Indian studio can actually afford, and encrypted so client data (guest lists, wedding budgets, phone numbers) stays with the studio.

Who's building it

Rajdatta Sakharam Sawant — founder. Product, customer support, business. Sindhudurg-based. You're most likely to hear from me over WhatsApp when you sign up.

Prathmesh Shet — tech lead. Owns the engineering side — Expo React Native app, Supabase backend, cryptography review. Prathmesh's day is spent making sure nothing you type into Aksho can be read by us, even if we wanted to.

The legal bit

Aksho is a sole proprietorship registered in India. The identifiers, for anyone doing due diligence:

  • Proprietor: Rajdatta Sakharam Sawant
  • Trading name: Aksho
  • Udyam registration: MH-31-0061037 (Maharashtra, District 31 — Sindhudurg)
  • Address: Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, India
  • GST: not registered (below the ₹20L threshold — no GST is charged on the ₹99)
  • App domain: app.aksho.in
  • Marketing domain: aksho.in

This isn't a hobby project. Aksho is my primary work, and if you sign up as an early customer, you're not going to wake up one morning to find the servers off.

How to reach us

  • Support: support@aksho.in — response within one business day. Usually much faster.
  • Partnerships, press, or "we want to buy for our whole studio": admin@aksho.in
  • Security disclosures: email admin@aksho.in with the subject "Security". PGP available on request.

What we owe our early customers

The first 100 studios who sign up are getting a promise: the price stays ₹99 for as long as you keep your subscription active, we won't add a "Pro" tier and lock features away, and if we ever get acquired or the business shuts down, we'll give at least 90 days notice and a working Excel export so nothing you tracked in Aksho is lost.
